ProximityLock prioritizes privacy as a core value. The app is designed to collect only the minimal data necessary for essential functions.

Essential Data: • Email address (for license activation and support) • License key and hashed device identifiers • App preferences and settings (stored locally) Technical Data: • IP address (for service delivery) • Website usage data: pages visited, referring page, browser and operating system, country derived from IP address • Update check data sent by the app: hashed device identifier, app version, license status • Bluetooth device proximity data (processed locally on your Mac)

Data processing occurs under the following legal grounds: 1. Contract Performance (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) • Processing necessary to provide ProximityLock services • License validation and management 2. Legitimate Interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) • Technical support and communication • Service improvement and bug fixes • Website analytics • Security and fraud prevention

Local Processing: • Proximity monitoring occurs exclusively on your Mac • Settings and preferences remain on your device • No proximity or location data leaves your system Server Storage: • Website hosted on Cloudflare Pages with HTTPS encryption • License data managed by Polar (purchases since November 2025) and LemonSqueezy (earlier purchases) • Website analytics, update check records and a cache of license data stored in Cloudflare D1 database • No payment information is stored by ProximityLock website or application

Data processing may occur outside your country of residence through service providers: • Cloudflare: Global network infrastructure • Polar Software, Inc.: Payment processing and license management (United States) • LemonSqueezy: License management for purchases made before November 2025 (United States) • Pushover: Developer notifications (United States) All processing follows: • GDPR requirements (European Union) • Applicable international privacy laws • Standard contractual clauses for international transfers

Data sharing is limited to essential service providers: • Polar Software, Inc.: Payment processing and license management, acting as merchant of record • LemonSqueezy: License management for purchases made before November 2025 • Cloudflare: Website hosting and infrastructure • Pushover: Notifies the developer about downloads and license events. Download notifications include country, browser and operating system, and referring page. License notifications include masked name and email. • Required legal disclosures These third parties process data solely for service delivery and maintain their own privacy policies and security standards.

You maintain the right to: • Access personal data • Request data correction • Request data deletion • Restrict processing • Object to processing • Data portability • Withdraw consent Requests are processed within 30 days, with possible 60-day extension for complex cases.

ProximityLock is not designed for users under 13 years of age and does not knowingly collect their data.

ProximityLock does not employ automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.

ProximityLock website does not set cookies for visitors. A session identifier is kept in your browser's session storage for the duration of your visit and used for website analytics. Your choice in the cookie notice is kept in local storage. Both can be cleared through browser settings.
